Lisa had a warm personality and seemed very committed to doing a good job. She was very engaged and she listened to what I was saying. She was good at looking at the details and understanding where I was coming from. She was realistic about the process and always upfront with me. Never over-promising.

The law clerks were phenomenal. They were friendly and they seemed to be aware of what was going on with my file. The receptionist also knew who I was and expected me when I walked in the door.

Lisa listened to what we were saying and understood our situation and didn't try to put us in a category. It was really heartening to actually talk to somebody who listened. It was the first time we talked to somebody who didn't look at us like we were crazy.

Megan and Liz are Lisa's support staff and they have been fantastic. They're always on the ball and they follow up. They've been really good.

We're paying a lot of money for this service and the stakes are quite high. I expect an awful lot from them and they have always delivered. I couldn't think of a single thing that could have been done differently to improve it.

There was a comfort in dealing with Brenda and the Family Law Group. I felt like my affairs were being sorted. I felt like I was being managed and not the other way around. They are professionals, they're direct, no nonsense and they will absolutely get to the bottom of your case. They have the experience and I felt completely looked after.

With Brenda there's no BS. She's so direct, and I needed that in my situation. When emotions are high, you need somebody to cut through and say, "yes, but the court doesn't really care about that, this is what they really care about." That was the best thing because I could have spun for a long time in a cycle of uncertainty or the trauma of what was going on. Brenda got me to make decisions and move forward. She just knows her stuff.

The whole team acted as a machine. I would email and the clerk would weigh in, the junior lawyer would comment and then Brenda would chime in about the whole thing. There was no wasted time or interaction. With the previous firm I'd have a half hour call and not have a clear sense of where we're going next. I never had that feeling with Brenda. We were always moving forward towards getting things completed.

It's a hard thing to go through and when someone is there for you in the way you need, and not just as a cheerleader, it's a big deal. Someone who actually does the things you need done. I'm very grateful for the very fact that she's a professional doing her industry and profession a great service. I don't think all lawyers are great and I do feel there should be more lawyers like Brenda mentoring younger ones."

The Family Law Group was eager to help and very welcoming. They're prompt and I didn't have to wait 30 40 minutes for an appointment like I had to with my previous lawyer. We felt respected.

With Brenda, it was very clear on what I had to do and what she had to do. It was a great relationship. I felt she got me and got what I wanted to do. She got that I cared for my child and wanted to get the best outcome possible for my child.

I felt like we clicked. I knew she couldn't get personally involved but she did have some empathy for me and my situation while staying professional. They were great from start to finish. Everyone was very helpful and concerned at all times. You didn't feel like you were just a number. When I'd tell them what was going on, they seemed genuinely concerned and wanted to help. That was always nice.

I always recommend the Family Law Group to anybody in the area that's going through something similar. Go with a better lawyer, don't cheap out.

Brenda was very professional through and through. She was always to the point and seemed to really know what she was doing. She also seemed like she cared and didn't agree with what my ex was trying to pull.

The size of the firm was good for me. They seemed to have good resources. They were in good standing with the judge and they seemed well connected and well liked in the legal community.

I got along great with Laura, I think the fit was perfect and she was super helpful with any questions I had big or small.

They talk to you almost like a friend. They're super friendly, nice and open. They explain exactly how things work.

The consultation was fairly easy. We went over what was going on, what I expected or hoped to get from the court service, what we needed to do etc.. She explained exactly what she can do, what she thinks I might be able to get and what might be an issue

I like the fact that they do a lot of emails instead of having to go in, which is perfect for me being a single mom of three. they were really good at getting back to you as soon as possible.

I think they did exactly what needed to be done. They were super helpful.
