Bio

Caitlin Reid joined the Family Law Group shortly after her call to the bar in 2012. Prior to joining the firm, Caitlin articled at a well-respected full service firm in London where she gained experience in several areas of law, focusing predominantly on family.

Caitlin holds a B.A. in Political Science and Criminology from the University of Western Ontario, where she also obtained law degree. During law school, Caitlin furthered her education by volunteering for Community Legal Services and Pro Bono Students Canada, where she held the position of Program Coordinator. In her last year of law school, Caitlin also acted as Program Coordinator for the Family Law Project at the London courthouse.

While litigation continues to form an important part of her practice, Caitlin also emphasizes negotiation, mediation and other alternative dispute resolution methods, recognizing that these processes are often efficient and cost-effective alternatives to court. She takes satisfaction in both representing her clients’ interests and finding fair and equitable solutions in the model most appropriate for the circumstances.

A London native, Caitlin has a strong history of community involvement and continues to be involved with the Pro Bono Students Canada, Western Law chapter. She is also involved with Big Brothers Big Sisters of London, being a former "little sister" herself. Outside of her practice, Caitlin is an avid traveller. In her free time, she also enjoys reading, cooking, yoga, and spending time with her friends and family.

TESTIMONIAL

Caitlin and her assistant Julie, they're just fantastic! They're willing to answer any question you have and take the time. What I like is they're calming too. They assured me that I'm in good hands and that they'll take care of this. Which I really liked.
